Another Christmas Gift idea…

Last weekend a few of my friends and I gathered for our wine and craft night, this time with a Christmas theme of course! We made soap!

Soap (1)You can buy soap-making kits from craft shops online which are a bit simpler than the traditional soap-making processes that apparently can be quite dangerous. With these kits you melt a clear soap base in the microwave, add colouring and scent, and others bits and pieces, and then pour the soap into moulds. It sets quite quickly so you get satisfying results for a night of crafting! I made cupcake soaps sprinkled with heather…

Soap (4)Square, layered soaps with circles of loofah, so that you get soap and exfoliator in one…

Soap (3)…and my favourite, gingerbread men and Christmas trees made with silicon Christmas moulds!

Soap (2)It was a lovely night and now I have some perfect little hand soaps to put out at Christmas or give away as gifts!
